Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Harvard University

The Cooperation Agreement between the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES), Harvard University (USA), and IRCICA was signed on 24 September 1993 by Prof. Dr. William A. Graham, Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Harvard University, and Prof. Dr. Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu on behalf of IRCICA.

The two parties agreed to cooperate in order to contribute to the advancement of Islamic studies and Middle Eastern studies in general, and the activities of the respective parties in particular. Joint projects would include, among others, researches leading to publications, and the organisation of scholarly meetings. Both centres agreed to exchange publications, as well as information on reference materials, academic events, and other matters of common interest.
