The Kazakh language edition of IRCICA\u2019s publication titled History of the Ottoman State and Civilisation <\/em>has been prepared by the Bilim Qazyna Foundation, Almaty, Kazakhstan, and published jointly by the two institutions under the title O\u0441\u043c\u0430\u043d \u043c\u0435\u043c\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0435\u0442\u0456 \u043c\u0435\u043d \u04e9\u0440\u043a\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435\u0442\u0456 \u0442\u0430\u0440\u0438\u0445\u044b<\/em>\u00a0(History of the Ottoman State and Civilisation). This collective work coordinated by IRCICA covers the six hundred year-old history of the Ottoman state and civilisation from the formation of the Ottoman principality until the proclamation of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye. Volume One comprises articles titled \u201cFrom the Founding to K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck Kaynarca\u201d, \u201cFrom K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck Kaynarca to the Collapse\u201d, \u201cOttoman State Organization\u201d, \u201cAdministrative Organization during the Tanzimat Period\u201d, \u201cOttoman Military Establishment\u201d, \u201cThe Ottoman Legal System\u201d, \u201cOttoman Society\u201d, \u201cThe Structure of the Ottoman Economy\u201d. Volume Two includes articles titled \u201cOttoman Turkish\u201d, \u201cTurkish Literature in Anatolia\u201d, \u201cTurkish Literature during the Period of Westernization\u201d, \u201cAn Exploration into Intellectual Life during the Period of Westernization\u201d, \u201cThe Literature of Muslim Peoples in Europe during the Ottoman Period\u201d, \u201cReligion\u201d, \u201cAspects of Intellectual Life in the Arab Provinces during the Ottoman Period\u201d, \u201cOttoman Educational and Scholarly-Scientific Institutions\u201d, \u201cThe Ottoman Scientific-Scholarly Literature\u201d, \u201cArt and Architecture\u201d, \u201cThe Art of Calligraphy in the Ottoman Empire\u201d, \u201cThe Art of Illumination in the Ottoman Empire\u201d. The Kazakh edition is prefaced by Prof. Mahmud Erol K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7, Director General of IRCICA, and Dr. Seyyid Muhammed Abdunaim, President of the Bilim Qazyna Foundation. The translation into Kazakh was done by Nurgul Zhambylqyzy.<\/p>\n

The book was translated into several languages in cooperation with institutions in different countries. Following its originals in Arabic, English and Turkish published by IRCICA during the period from 1994 to 2002, the Bosnian edition was published as a large, single volume through the efforts of the Oriental Institute of Sarajevo in 2005. It was translated into Russian and published in 2006 by Vostochnaia Literatura, in Moscow. The book was translated and published in Persian by the Encyclopedia Islamica Foundation, Iran in 2008. An Albanian edition was published by the Albanian Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation with the cooperation of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (T\u0130KA) in 2009.<\/p>\n
