The first part contains an evaluation of the influences of Turkish culture and language in social life, in the circles of the Egyptian Palace, administration, army and education as well as a study of translations which were made from various languages into Turkish in Egypt. These evaluations are based on an examination of the printed works on Turkish culture in Egypt, the studies and dissertations devoted to this topic and particularly the published archival documents dating from the period of Mehmed Ali Pasha. The second part of the book deals with the famous Bulak Printing House, and other printhouses and, other printing houses where books in Turkish were printed. The last part of the book consists of the “Bibliography of printed works on Turkish culture in Egypt”. The book includes numerous illustrations, an extensive bibliography and comprehensive indices.
