The 3. lecture in “IRCICA Heritage Talks” will be given by Prof.Dr. Baha Tanman, professor of history of art & architecture, on “The Reflection of Sufi Conceptions and Icons in the Ottoman Period Sufi Buildings and Ornamental Arts”, on 3.2.2023 at 4p.m., in hybrid format.
A selection of archival photos depicting daily life during the Ottoman period in al-Quds. The photos are from IRCICA’s historical archive collection, which includes the Yıldız Albums dating from the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II.

فاز كتاب إرسيكا بعنوان “تاريخ فن الخط/مدارسه وروّاده” بجائزة الشيخ حمد الثامنة (@HamadTAward – قطر) التي أُعلن عنها في يناير 2023. ونشر هذا الكتاب البحثي للبروفيسور محيي الدين سيرين في الأصل باللغة التركية ثمّ ترجمه الدكتور صالح سعدواي ونشره المركز في ثلاثة مجلدات عام 2020.
“Al-Quds in Mühimme Registers”, by IRCICA, contains important documents on the social, cultural, economic and architectural history of #AlQuds during the Ottoman period (1545 – 1905) presented in TR, EN & AR in 9 vols.

IRCICA DG Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç met with Mr. Fahad Alkanaan, Deputy Minister of Culture, K.S.A, (@mocsaudi_en) in Jeddah, 25.1.2023. The discussions were centered around possible areas and methods of cooperation between the Ministry and IRCICA.
Within the framework of its program titled “Studies on the Holy Qur’an”, #IRCICA has published editions of earliest Mushafs attributed to the periods of the Caliphs Othman and Ali, together with their scholarly studies by Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç.
