IRCICA Director General Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç gave a scholarly address at the opening ceremony of the 8th International Academic Studies Association (ILEM) Summer School on 24 July 2023 in Istanbul. 40 academics from 15 countries are teaching in this program dedicated to “Rethinking Arts and Aesthetics in the Muslim World: Concepts, Theories and Practices“. IRCICA gives academic support to the 8th International ILEM Summer School, jointly with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (OIC-ICYF), the Turkish Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University and other organizations. Following Director General Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç’s address at the opening ceremony, IRCICA’s Chief of Architecture Assoc. Prof. Alidost Ertuğrul gave a paper at ICYF’s Panel on the theme of the Aesthetic Foundations of Islamic Intellectual Heritage.
