The international conference on “Ottomans and the Malay World: Contemporary Reflections on History, Culture and Economy” was organized by the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and IRCICA with the collaboration of the University of Malaya – Asia West East Center, Asia Middle East Center for Research and Dialogue, Bait Al-Amanah, and the National University of Singapore, and held on 14-15 October 2023 at ISTAC/IIUM, Kuala Lumpur. It is a pleasure for IRCICA to present the proceedings book of the conference, with eleven articles reflecting the various relationships which developed between the Malay world and the Ottoman world over the centuries.
