IRCICA and Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, Samarkand, Uzbekistan, are conducting a series of joint online seminars titled “Central Asia- The Center of Islamic Culture and Art”. The seminars address subjects relating to history, culture, written sources, monuments, arts, and sciences with main focus on Central Asia. The first two lectures were delivered by Prof. Dr. Ashirbek Muminov, Consultant for Central Asian Studies at IRCICA on 29 April 2024, on the “Continuity of Traditions in the Scientific Centers of Central Asia: Periods of Crises and Interruptions” and by Prof. Dr. Shovosil Ziyadov, Director of Imam Bukhari Center, on 26 June 2024, on the theme: The History of Bukhara Emirate’s Libraries”. The third lecture was given by the Senior Scholar of Samarkand University Komilkhan Kattaev, Chairman of the Makhdumi A’zam Dahbedi Scientific and Research Foundation, on 30 July 2024, on the subject “The Leaders of Hanafiyya in Samarkand and Their Places of Pilgrimage”.
