An MOU for cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality has been signed by IRCICA Director General Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç and Mayor Mr. Uğur İbrahim Altay on 13 June 2025 whereby joint projects will be conducted to highlight the Islamic cultural heritage in Konya (the OIC City of Tourism 2016), which has an outstanding history as the seat of Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi and as the capital of the Seljuk State and is always renown in the Muslim world represented by IRCICA’s member countries for its continuing role as a center of scholarly, literary, urban and architectural achievements.
