International Naat al-Sharif Poetry Competition results announced

The results of the International Naat al-Sharif Poetry Competition which was coordinated by IRCICA, OIC General Secretariat, and Konya Metropolitan Municipality under the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye on the occasion of the 1500th Birth Anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed (saw) and conducted in 5 languages were announced at a ceremony held on 17 December 2025 in Konya. The prizes were presented to the winners by Konya Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Uğur İbrahim Altay and IRCICA Director General Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç. The first prize winner is Mr. Mohamed Mohamed Lemine Cherif Sid El Hadi from Mauritania, while the second prize is shared between Mr. Ilyass Amharar from Morocco and Mr. Hosein Esmaili from Iran; the third prize is shared between Mr. Bagja Putra from Indonesia and Mr. Kerim Ak from Türkiye; the three mentions are for Mr. Kenan Yavuzarslan, Mr. Yaşar Bayar and Mr. Mehmet Lütfullah Yıldırım from Türkiye. An exhibition of illustrations representing the blessed Seera of the Prophet (saw) was opened on the occasion. The ceremony took place in a matching spiritual atmosphere, in the context of the 752nd commemoration of the Shab-e Arus, Mawlana Jalal al-Din Rumi’s Reunion.
