IRCICA participated in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which is one of the largest annual book fairs in the Arab world. This 33rd edition of the fair, held with the motto “Where the World’s Tales Unfold” from 29 April to 5 May 2024, featured numerous cultural events and activities. It honoured “Kalila and Demna” by Ibn al-Muqaffa’ as the “Book of the World” for its significant impact on cultural and literary history and also designated the Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz as the “Iconic Figure” for this year.
IRCICA’s stand at the fair, curated by Mr. Said Kasımoğlu, Chief of Arts and Handicrafts, and Mr. Taha Zahid Özdemir, Cultural Heritage Supervisor, presented a large sample of IRCICA’s publications mainly in the Arabic language.
