A 16-member delegation from the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation (SOCO), Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, chaired by Dr. Esra Alhamal, General Manager of SOCO, visited IRCICA on 31 May 2024. The delegation was received successively by the Assistant Director General Prof. Aboubacar Abdullah Senghore; the Head of Research and Publications Prof. Cengiz Tomar; and the Chief of the Arts and Handicrafts Section Mr. Said Kasımoğlu. The activities, publications, and collections of artworks of IRCICA relating to the arts of the Islamic world, calligraphy and illumination in particular, were introduced to the guests.
