Dr. Halit Eren, IRCICA Director General, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. Hisham Kandil, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at his office in Cairo on 7th February 2013, during Dr. Eren’s visit to Cairo on the occasion of the Twelfth Islamic Summit Conference (Cairo, 6-7 February). Dr. Eren was accompanied by Dr. Nazih Maruf, Head of Craft Development Program at IRCICA.
During the meeting, Dr. Eren briefed H.E. Prime Minister about the Centre’s various activities and programs, especially the joint projects the Centre undertakes with the Egyptian academic institutions. Dr. Eren presented information on the international symposium on "Cultural Heritage: its Importance, its Preservation" organized by the Ministry of State of Antiquities of Egypt jointly with IRCICA and OIC on 31 January, which took place in Cairo before the Islamic Summit Conference. He also briefed H.E. Prime Minister about the Centre’s projects on Al Quds.
