The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş received the Director General of IRCICA, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç on 15 November 2023 in his office at the Parliament. Prof. Kılıç, who was the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) from 2008 to 2018, and Prof. Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, exchanged ideas on the subject. During the talks, Prof. Kılıç also gave information about IRCICA’s ongoing activities to Prof. Kurtulmuş, who said that “At a time when the world needs more than ever to comply with Islam’s call for high virtues, peace, security and welfare, IRCICA assumes an important mission through these values in preserving Islamic civilization and strengthening solidarity within the Muslim world by highlighting the 1400 year-old Islamic cultural heritage, intellectual achievements and history of arts” and wished success to the Centre.
